The Experience

This is more than just a transaction between two people. This is time spent to spend more time reminiscing on your favorite days, seasons, and years. This isn’t something that can be mass produced and shipped off; it’s intimate, meaningful moments that only you can say you’ve had.

Your experience starts far before you ever step in front of my camera. It starts with connection—I want to know all about you, your love, your dreams, your fave things, I want to know it all before I even pull my camera out. These are the pieces of who you are that’ll be seen in these photos.

This is a partnership—which means we’re a team. I get that sometimes it just isn’t the right fit. At the end of the day, I want you to look back on these photos and remember how you felt when you took them—I want your experience to reflect the feelings.

Connection—I believe that I am more than just a vendor to you and that you are more than just a client to me. I’m not just a girl trying to run a business—I’m a girl who lives for connection. I’m your 2nd matron of honor, the best hype gal you’ve ever met. I crave to know the ins and outs of your story, not just to so I can capture who you really are, but because I simply just care to know. I want to acknowledge that you’re a human being with a story to tell, not just some client with a checkbook who wants pretty photos.

Authenticity—I TOTALLY get it. Standing in front of the camera can be so dang intimidating. It’s like the second it’s time to take photos, your hands forget what to do with themselves. But I’m not someone who’s going to be all up in your face telling you to do this, and do that, & now flip your hair this way and blah blah blah…To me, the super still and posed photos are just…gag. It doesn’t capture feeling in its natural state. Don’t get me wrong, I will give you some direction, but it’s those intimate, in-between moments that I’m after. No awkward prom poses or stiff stances. You can expect to walk, run, dance, hug, laugh and play.

Unique—I’m really do believe that there is no such thing as “one size fits all”. Your life, your story, your love, isn’t the same as anyone else’s, so why try and fit you into a mold and create the same experience as this person or that person? I want you to walk away after our time together and feel good about what we created—I want you to be able to say “wow, that was unlike any other experience I’ve had”.
