WHAT SHOULD I WEAR???

This is one of the most asked questions I get. My response is always for you to be in clothes you feel the most YOU in—if you wear those jeans that you hate, you’re probably going to feel super uncomfortable while we shoot—Comfy yet cute is the motto. If you’re someone who’s visual like me, here is a link to my Pinterest Board where you can pull some inspo from.

Where is our session going to take place?

Everywhere and anywhere! We have such a variety of feels here in Omaha (Cornfield? Check. Tall rustic building? Check. And anywhere in between) After we set a date for your sesh, I will send you over a questionnaire that will help us narrow down some places/the vibe that’s most you.

What is your turnaround time?

Weddings are 4-6 weeks while engagements & seniors are 2-3 weeks. BUT, trust me when I say, I am JUST as excited as you are to see the photos, so I WILL be sending you some sneak peaks.

How many photos do I get?

I never promise a certain amount of photos, because if I promise you 20 photos and we take 100 good ones, I’m not gonna hold out on the other 80, make sense? There’s a TON that goes into the number of photos, like how long we’ve shot, how many people were there, etc. We can get into specifics later if you want.

Will you photoshop pictures of us?

Aside from maybe some blemishes on your skin or things like scratches/bruises/acne/etc, I don’t photoshop photos. I totally get that we all have things that we are self-conscious about, so if there is something specific, please let me know and I will definitely keep that in mind while we shoot.

As far as being able to add people into photos who weren’t originally present, that is outside of my scope of practice.

How do you deliver the photos?

This is usually a mom asking this one lol but a good question! I deliver galliers through an online platform that allows you to download photos onto a phone, computer, or tablet. Super easy!

We are super awkward in front of the camera—can you tell us what to do??

Also, another question I hear all the time! I know how intimidating it can be on the other side of the camera...where does this hand go, where do I look, how should I stand, all the questions. I promise I will give you direction the whole time, capturing moments of you moving like a human, not standing like a tree! Don’t worry, we’ll have a BLAST.

How do I book you/What is your payment schedule?

First things first—tell me who you are! I am so much more than a vendor who wants to take your money. So start by filling out my contact form so I can get to know you a little bit better! Next, depending on the session you’re wanting, a 30%-50% retainer is needed to solidify your session date. Budgets are a real life thing, so if we need to set up a different plan, we absolutely can do that.

Do we get the RAW files?

The RAW (unedited files) aren’t available for viewing or purchase. You wouldn’t go to a restaurant and order chicken parm and then ask them to just bring out the raw chicken + all the other ingredients, right?? Same thing here—the RAW images are half of the process. Editing the photos is where my work comes to life and becomes the product that you’re wanting.

Do you travel? How does that work?

I do!! I actually love to travel, so I have no problem seeing the world with you *heart eyes* hehe. My wedding packages have a travel add on that has all of the information you’ll need!

What if you can’t make it to our shoot/wedding?

Covid-19 really shook this place up, and we are still seeing it affect people all the time. In the case where I wouldn’t be able to make it to a shoot other than a wedding, we would reschedule for a day that works for all parties!

As for weddings, it would take something HUGE for me to miss it. But, as we know, we are all human and life happens; there are things that we really just can’t control. If I wouldn’t be able to make the wedding day, I would do everything in my power to find a trustworthy replacement to fill my place.
